I was asked for the umpteenth time
“ yo do you rap”
not that the question was dopey
and I am all for a souls curiosity
when it comes to how I put words down
that would make me a name being
put down on golden frame.

still I ask is rapping the only
kind of expressing legitimate
that is of the tongue
from that who comes from grounds
that is still walked on
by folks that don’t see any other destination
that makes creation the forefront
that serves inspiration.

Standing on stage reciting
what’s on the internal with
a touch of instruments in the background
don’t always mean spitting bars.

There are those of us who own tongues
that would rather use bonafide means of verbs
and adjectives to give out points of views to the hearts
that don’t be concerned about will it hit the charts
but instead using the appear
to give hear
to that who is providing delight
while in hope supporting sights
we call a vision
that is by having a distinguished type of say
with wordplay.

No I don’t call for a rumble
even when I get radical I add some humble
and carefully have my WORDS SPOKEN
cause it’s a RAP if I start to mumble.
