UNITED I STAND
Just for today I’m not gonna wear a button down shirt
with black pants that has a smothness of material
nor put on shoes
that has a shine like an LA sky.
Today I will present an attire
that’s unpretentious
not just because mother nature is
letting her sun be in full presence
of the external of these walls I gave a good sleep.
but there are times that I’d rather be in a casual state
that would bring my concious further down
in the presence of earth that I gotta live
until the God of my praise decease the physical
of my being.
Let me write a prose about my favorite hobby
instead of being such an educator
just for today.
let me write words about Gods sense of humor
and not be so much of exhaling of his wrath.
my body is my temple so the mixture of ingredients
is important to the internal
that welcomes the free air but a big mac wont hurt
just for today.
That means the next trip to the facility that has
equipment to assist in strength of external
I must stay longer.
speaking of gym I’m still working on biceps
lifting those barbells doing push ups
so I can be fit like him
I take that back, talking about the term

let me work on being like him that I stare
at on the other side of the bedroom glass
but not shy away from excitement that gives me
youthful exuberance but still disciplined enough
to know when it’s enough.
then get back to the draft that’s rough
and add some delight
without shying away from protesting for our rights.
Having said that I gotta get suited up
for tomorrow’s engagement where I will speak
on the injustice that’s still lead by diabolical
clowns giving menance to specific communities.
then I must attend church to praise thee for
not making junk when in the process of creating me.
also giving me the tool between my ears that can be used
on how I choose
which made growth from man to boy
damn what a joy
to be a spirit that’s free
even pigeons refuse to live in that hole
but will fly to any other destiny
if it involves too much control but
Discipline is still a necessity.
When it comes to subjects that matter I never ran out
even when contented with my style but happiness takes work
and he don’t give handouts
so I see my opinions as so valuable
why? because like the teacher choosing the student
with that veritable way of learning amongst the
huge crowd of others, that’s what makes me stand out.
